Domaine Hubert Bouzereau Gruère is a family-owned estate based in the heart of Meursault. Founded in 1970 by Hubert Bouzereau, a seventh-generation winemaker, the domaine has become one of the most respected names in the Côte de Beaune.
Today, the estate is led by Hubert’s daughters, Marie-Laure and Marie-Anne Bouzereau, who oversee approximately 10 hectares of vineyards across six communes of the Côte de Beaune. Their philosophy is centred on old vines, sustainable vineyard management, and meticulous winemaking, producing wines renowned for their balance, aromatic purity, fine minerality, and remarkable elegance.
Les Charmes is widely regarded as one of the greatest Premier Cru vineyards of Meursault. What makes this climat so exceptional is its unique combination of two distinct soil types.
One part of the vineyard is rooted in clay-limestone soils, contributing richness, texture, and generosity. The other is planted on limestone bedrock, bringing finesse, tension, and pronounced minerality. Together, these terroirs create wines of extraordinary complexity, perfectly balancing power and elegance.
